WHAT
For the past two years the Digital Dramaturgy Lab has conducted experimental explorations - following
principles of radical slowness, deep learning, nomadism and togetherness - into a wide array of research
subjects by playing with particular elements of Gao Xingjian’s play “Between Life and Death” (生死界).
Many students, artists, scholars and scientists of incredibly divers backgrounds have contributed to the
in-progress creative demonstrations that we will share with a broader public on May 25 and May 26. For
our public presentation we will employ the aesthetics and dramaturgy of a science fair from a theatre
and performance studies perspective. Expect a show! Don’t expect a show!
