Artaud's Cage - Making contact mics

In our performance experiment we performatively quoted John Cage's "Water Walk" and the Marx Brother's vaudeville approach to trickster/clowns characters. - Artaud loved the Marx Brothers. - 

Michael Reinhart choreographed and performed a piece around a sound table. In order to amplify sound and play with screaming noise/silence we built 2 contact mics. Douglas Hamilton had found a "How to make" video, which we watched while Don Sinclair, Michael Reinhart and Douglas Hamilton built and  tested the low-tech, highly affordable device and Antje Budde was documenting the process from start to finish via iPhone video recording.
